To adhere to the Academic Honesty Policy for the College it is essential that all students (and teachers) acknowledge the work and creations of others and use a recognized referencing system consistently. At Le Régent College we recommend the Harvard Author-Date System which can be used to varying levels of complexity as students progress through the school. As well as offering a nifty automatic referencing tool through the Access-It Library Catalogue for resources used from the library, we have now invested in an excellent, user-friendly online tool that covers just about any material that you may need to reference.
The SLASA Online Reference Generator allows students to choose, Junior, Middle or Senior School Versions and to not only get working examples of how to reference sources but a live reference building tool that creates the citation with you. You just need to have all the information to hand, fill in the blanks and copy the finished citation into your assignment or essay.
This reference generator will top the list on our Referencing page, but it is password driven, so please ask your teacher or Mr Bull for the password and don’t share with anyone outside the college.
