Copyrights and Wrongs with Year 10.

Today, two groups of Year 10 students explored the legal and ethical issues around using the creative work of others. They got to grips with the following concepts:

The groups then had the task of identifying the owner and copyright status of 5 photos before choosing the one they thought best to use for an advertising campaign.

The groups then played a Kahoot quiz to review their understanding of the key concepts and vocabulary around Copyright and Fair Use.

After using the Flickr and Creative Commons Search to find a freely useable image of their choice, students used the SLASA Reference Generator to reference the image using the Harvard style.
